“You take too many pictures,” said a friend in college. He said it so nonchalantly, yet I distinctly remember how taken aback I was when he said that to me while a group of us were out and about. I recall feelings of denial and doubt, and I stood, momentarily offended. However, before the end of the night, I was taking pictures again. And I didn’t regret it.
Before college even ended, I had friends telling me how glad they were that I took pictures, as our fits of laughter and escapades were preserved for when our memories failed us. And to be completely honest, it was vindicating to hear.
And yes we’re still friends ;) That friend probably won’t even remember that night, even if I were to bring it up again. He’s notorious for having horrible memory and getting people mixed up in his memories/stories!
So if anyone ever tells you that “you take too many pictures”…screw him/her! J/k!! My point is– live life and don’t be afraid to take pictures :)
